Michael Webster is a fantastic saxophonist and composer who I met at Manhattan School of Music. Leading Lines is his ambitious "chamber jazz" recording featuring a nonet plus strings. This album was recorded in Brooklyn and I had so much fun playing with this great rhythm section. Mike’s brother Gordon Webster plays piano with Obed Calvaire on drums, and John Benitez on the bass. The album features some beautiful trumpet solos from Mike Rodriguez, too.
